Business Support Program focus on "Ronnie the Weaver"

Culture on the Move was showcased during NACCHO’s Conference 2022 at the National Convention Centre, 19 and 20 October 2022.

Ronnie Jordan, a Kalkadoon Pitta Pitta woman, qualified traditional weaver and artist combined with horticultural ecological knowledge offers a sensory creative experience connecting us with age-old arts.

Many of the several hundred attendees were enticed over by the beautiful cultural display of traditional products and tools woven from natural materials. Many then enjoyed the experience of having a go themselves. Ronnie loves to chat and share her knowledge of the skills passed onto her.

Would you like to book a workshop? Ronnie delivers workshops to businesses, schools, community and government, sharing fascinating details of indigenous plant use, some common in many of our gardens, and brings materials for each participant to experience the peaceful art for themselves.
