Talent Management Program 2024
Service Description
Our Talent Management programs are conducted in 2 cohorts, APS 5/6, and EL1/ EL2. The programs follow the same structure with the learning designed to build on the experience level and needs of each cohort. To ensure cultural appropriateness we utilise male and female Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander facilitators and mentors to conduct the program and our networks give us access to senior Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and public sector leaders to call upon to be guest speakers. The program will provide participants with the opportunity to: -A greater understanding of the role and responsibilities of public servants -Connect to each other, the facilitators, and guest speakers through the sharing of stories and experiences in a safe environment conducive to maximising learning -Undertake personal reflection, as part of each face-to-face and mentoring session Take part in cultural immersion activities that allow them to explore their connection to their cultural identity including learning from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders and Elders -Direct their own learning through three mentoring sessions, with experienced Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders; -Explore options for their career progression, through mainstream or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-specific roles, regardless of whether they are Canberra or regionally based. The program consists of the following elements: 1. Onboarding Assessment 2. Peer Group Sessions 3. Mentor Sessions 4. Immersion Activity
Cancellation Policy
We understand that things can change, once your mentoring sessions start and you need to reschedule, you can do it via the portal, this will be provided to you (your mentors may need to reschedule sometimes too). Please note, any cancellation or rescheduling will not be allowed 24 hours prior to your booking. Your Mentor will contact you on the number you provide. Please ensure this is correct and up to date.
