Managing
Myself
This session will give you the opportunity to explore how you manage yourself in the workplace.
At the completion of the session you will be able to identify:

your personal style and how it affects your workplace relationships and personal branding.

how your Emotional Intelligence impacts your reputation and “brand” in the workplace.

strategies you can use to improve your “brand”.

how day to day work decisions can be scrutinised and why you need to know your responsibilities as an APS employee.
Immersion
Activity
This day will give you a chance to interact with and observe cultural and community elders and leaders and to reflect upon your own cultural identity.
Succeeding in
Two Worlds
This will be a discussion-based session on cultural integrity in the workplace and balancing family/community/work expectations.
Following the sessions you will be able to:

identify strategies for balancing your APS career with your cultural obligations and the expectation of your family and community.

identify strategies to deal with the challenges of personal alignment with Government policies and programs.

understand the importance of applying cultural knowledge and experience as an APS employee.
Managing
My Career
During this final session you’ll discuss your future career options. This will assist you to identify your career pathway and we’ll also give you some tips to help you to apply for APS positions.
There will also be an informal graduation ceremony to celebrate the conclusion of the program.
